During my first year at IU, a colleague of mine and I noticed that there was a lack of project opportunities outside of our classes. All of the first years, being thirsty to practice design skills more frequently, needed an additional way to build their skills. To address this need, I along with my colleague founded the IU design club. Each session of the club is 90 minutes focusing on solving design problems using the entire process. Sixty minutes is for design and 30 minutes is for group criticism. Below are some of the design projects that I, along with a team, worked on in design club.

Challenge: Thinking about a calculator, choose a part of the design process to focus on. Alter it for a population. Me team focused on different ways to teach children math principles.

Challenge: Adapt an MP3 for the blind focusing on navigation.

Challenge: Redesign Twitter focusing on syncing between devices such as mobile phone and computer.
